The Quincy Development Corporation (QDC) is the Quincy Housing Authority’s nonprofit affiliate, whose mission is to be an innovative leader in the acquisition and development of affordable housing in the City of Quincy to serve low-income families. We achieve our mission by cultivating partnerships with the City of Quincy, developers, and financial institutions to facilitate affordable housing creation for the Quincy community and serve as catalyst for change.
The Quincy Development Corporation was established in 2014 for the organization to privatize federally funded public housing. Since 2014, the agency has taken ownership of O’Brien Towers, Pagano Towers, Riverview Apartments and Drohan Apartments, the organization’s flagship properties. In 2025, the agency anticipates developing Mariner’s Cove, a new affordable housing property, consisting of 16 2-bedroom units. These units will be made affordable in perpetuity with the utilization of project-based vouchers at the property site. The property will also feature a finished basement and Quincy Housing Authority administrative office space.
