The Quincy Development Corporation (QDC) is seeking resident volunteers to assist us in filling the garden beds for our residents and those interested in maintaining their own family garden!
The QDC is excited to bring a fruitful community garden to the residents of O’Brien Towers and Riverview Properties. This initiative was spearheaded by Holly Hill Farm in Cohasset, MA, who was the proud recipient of a Liberty Mutual climate resiliency grant to fund the project. O’Brien Towers and Riverview Properties have been selected as host sites to make this initiative possible. The project, which will consist of raised garden beds with a diverse selection of crops will offer residents the opportunity to build community and harvest fresh produce right in their own back yards! The QDC is grateful to be working with Holly Hill Farm for the installation and in the future to implement educational programming for adults and youth that will be held throughout the growing season.

Saturday, June 21st, 9:00-12:00, O’Brien Towers
Saturday, June 28th, 9:00-12:00, Riverview Properties

All volunteers will be provided light refreshments. Youth volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Youth volunteers interested in participating are automatically eligible to be entered into a drawing to receive a $50 gift card!
