Mariner's Cove Fire Protection Engineer

Public Notification for Request for Proposals for MEP and Fire Protection Engineering Services
The Quincy Housing Authority Development Corporation (QHADC) is seeking proposals from
registered engineers in the state of Massachusetts to provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing,
(MEP) and fire protection (FP) technical services for the Design and Contract Administration for
the construction of the new affordable housing residential development Mariner’s Cove at
Bicknell Street, Quincy, MA, MAP/BLOCK/LOT – 1102-29-E.

Mariner’s Cove consists of two (2) – four (4) story residences, each containing eight (8) units, as
shown in the architectural drawings by MZO Architects. The Engineer’s basic scope of services is
to design the MEP and FP systems of the site and building including, but not limited to, heating
and air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and fire protection systems in accordance
with the 9th Edition of the Massachusetts State Building Code.

Public Notification for Request for Proposals for Structural Engineering Services
The Quincy Housing Authority Development Corporation (QHADC) is seeking proposals from Structural Engineers registered in the state of Massachusetts to provide technical services for the Design and Contract Administration for the construction of the new affordable housing residential development Mariner’s Cove at Bicknell Street, Quincy, MA, MAP/BLOCK/LOT – 1102-29-E.

Mariner’s Cove consists of two (2) – four (4) story residences, each containing eight (8) units, as shown in the architectural drawings by MZO Architects. The Engineer’s basic scope of services is to design the structural components and connections of the building to resist gravity and lateral loading, including, but not limited to, the foundation, wood framed structure, and concrete masonry unit wall areas, in accordance with the 9th Edition of the Massachusetts State Building Code. All proposals shall follow the intent of M.G.L. c. 7C, §§ 44-58.
